This stunning, heavy green/ clear-cased glass vase is made in the Scandinavian style, with a clear base. The neck of the vase has been diagonally sliced and bevelled at the edges. Whitefriars-Style Kingfisher Blue Tall Bark Effect Textured Glass Vase - c. 1960's - 1970's

This stunning, tall bark effect textured vase made from Kingfisher blue glass has been made in the style of Whitefriars glass, probably produced by A. Jones & Co. and manufactured in Sweden. When the vase is displayed, there is little to choose between this design and one made by Whitefriars, although the moulding technique is not as refined as Whitefriars and, although the vase is heavy, it does not have the heavy clear glass base peculiar to Whitefriars vases. However, as a copy it passes very well as a display piece and makes an excellent home decorator's item. Heavy Kingfisher Blue Tulip-Style Vase - c. 1950's

This stunning, heavy glass vase in a deep shade of Kingfisher blue with a thick clear glass base has a "tulip" style design and has been made in the style of the Scandinavian designer, Per Lutken, who worked for the well-known Danish glass manufacturers Holmegaard, and produced organic and flowing designs for this company in the 1950's and 1960's. This very decorative piece of glass is a superb example of its kind and of that era and will display particularly well on a windowsill or in a well-lit corner of the room, to bring out its full beauty. It is in excellent condition, with just a few small, light scratches to the base through normal use. Sklo Union Rudolph Schrotter Bullet-Shaped Blue Glass Vase - c. 1940's

This unusual blue glass vase was designed in 1940 by Rudolf Schrotter for the Rudolfova Glassworks based in Teplice, Czechoslovakia. It is moulded on four sides into oval "lense" shapes which give an interesting optical effect. The machine cut base has a "bird bath" like depression and is typical of the pressed glass produced by these factories at this time. There is just one small chip to the outside of the base, measuring approximately .5cm across, and another minute fleabite next to it, measuring approx. 2mm across. These very minor faults cannot be seen when the vase is displayed. This vase is in otherwise excellent condition and makes a fascinating display piece, especially when backlit. Bohemian White-on-Cranberry Overlay Cut Glass Vase - Handpainted

This stunning Bohemian glass vase in cranberry glass is overlaid in white, with circular cut-outs to the bowl and eyelet cut-outs to the knopped base. The edge of the vase is scalloped, and both this and all of the cutouts have gilded edges. There are very delicately handpainted pink and mauve flowers around the cutouts on the bowl and the base is decorated in small blue flowers. It is in excellent condition. This vase makes an absolutely beautiful display piece, especially in natural light, or in a well-lit corner of the room. A wonderful item for the collector, too!
